NOTICE OF WORKS – YNYS WEN
Valley Community Council wishes to inform residents and visitors that drainage improvement works will be taking place at Ynys Wen Cemetery during the week commencing Monday 27 October 2025.
The purpose of these works is to improve the condition and accessibility of the ground, particularly during periods of wet weather. Over time, surface water has affected some areas of the cemetery, and this project aims to ensure the site remains safe, well-maintained, and accessible for all visitors.
The Council appreciates that this is a sensitive location and every effort will bemade to minimise disruption while the works are carried out. Access to the cemetery will remain open where possible, but visitors are asked to take care when moving around areas where contractors are working.
