NOTICE OF INTENTION
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 SECTION
14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991
CYNGOR SIR YNYS MÔN / ISLE OF ANGLESEY
COUNTY COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
(GORAD ROAD, VALLEY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn/Isle of Anglesey County Council intend not less than seven days from the date hereof to make an Order, the effect of which will temporarily prohibit all vehicles, except for emergency vehicles, from travelling in either direction along Gorad Road, Valley.
The Order is necessary to ensure safe working zone for engineers to access telegraph poles.
The alternative route will be from the eastern side of the closure, travel along Gorad Road in an easterly direction to the A5025 in Llanynghenedl and turn right. Then travel along the A5025 in a south westerly direction to the A5 Valley crossroads. Turn right onto the A5 and travel in a north westerly direction through the village of Valley to the junction with Gorad Road and the opposite end of the closure. Vice versa for traffic travelling from the opposite direction.
The Order comes into effect on 4th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 weeks or until the work which it is proposed to carry out on the road is completed, whichever is the earlier. At this stage it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 4th September 2026.
